In
1958 Yoni started to taken Classical Ballet lessons at a Town named Chedera
in Israel while she was at Kibbutz "Maaggan Michael"
1960 Yoni
joined the "Inbal Theatre" and continues in 1967 with "Karmon
Groups". In both groups, Yoni was a soloist and performed around the
world. When Inbal, took a part in a movie called "The
Greatest story ever told" Yoni participate as one of the six
dancers who danced in front of the King (Jose Fierier) with the Director
George Stevens (May he rest in peace) Starring Max Von Side and Charleston
Hess ton
Yoni
took solo part a few Musicals like: "Jumbo" (an Israeli Musical)”My
Fair lady" The King and I. and, Hello Dolly and at the same time taught
Jazz in Tel Aviv at Gertrude Krause dance studio.
In 1973, study
Ballroom dancing and certified with "Dance Educator of America” in
New York. She taught upstate New York
at the "Concord Hotel" in the Catskill Mountain Ballroom Dancing,
and Exercise classes.
1984
moved to California and joined the Famous "Arthur Murray dance studio" Ballroom
dancing. (Salonim in Hebrew) first as a teacher and later as a dance
counselor for 10 years. Also worked as an exercise instructor at the famous
LA- COSTA hotel and Spa in Carlsbad California
1985
Yoni formed two sessions of Israeli Folk Dance classes. One at the Jewish
Community Center which was then located in the Garden Grove area and continued
with this activity at the JCC in Orange County Costa Mesa. The other session
was in San Diego at the famous “Folk Dance Center on Adam St.
She
also is the camp director of two Israeli Folk Dance camps. “Camp Yona” Presidents
Weekend (February) and “Finjan” Labor Day Weekend (September)
Currently, Yoni is teaching Israeli folk dancing at the Jewish Academy of
San Diego every Thursday Night and at “Avant Garde Ballroom” in Newport Beach
every Sunday
